Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
This page explains what we keep about you, why we keep it, who else sees it, and how to get rid of all of it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
The short version. If you never sign in, we keep a random visitor number and a scrambled version of your network address, only to count free readings and stop abuse. If you do sign in, we keep your name, email and picture from Google along with your readings. You can erase everything yourself, at any time, from the Your data section that appears when you are signed in. We do not sell anything to anyone and we run no advertising or tracking.
Who is responsible
Tarot Life Path operates this website and decides how your information is used. For anything in this policy — including a request to see, correct or erase your data — write to contact@tarotlifepath.com.
If you use the site without an account
You can get a reading without signing in. In that case we keep:
- A visitor number. A random identifier stored in your browser and repeated back to us on each visit. It carries no name and no contact details.
- A scrambled network address. We never store your IP address as it is. We store a one-way cryptographic fingerprint of it, which cannot be turned back into the original address.
- Your browser description (the make and version your browser announces) and the times you visited.
We keep this only to count how many free readings have been used and to block automated abuse. Without it, anyone could take unlimited free readings and the site would not survive. In legal terms this is our legitimate interest in keeping the service running and fair.
If you create an account
Signing in happens through Google. From it we receive and store:
- your name, your email address and your profile picture;
- your Google account identifier and your language preference.
We never see and never receive your Google password. We keep this to give you an account, to save your readings and to recognise you when you come back — that is, to provide what you signed up for.
Your readings
When you ask for a reading we store the question you typed, the cards that were drawn, the interpretation that was written for you, the language and the date. This is what makes Your past readings possible.
The question you write is sent to Anthropic, the company whose system writes the interpretation. Please do not type anything you would not want to leave your own computer — health details, financial details, or information about other people.
If you pay for a plan
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our systems and we never store it. We keep only the reference numbers Stripe gives us for your customer record and your plan, so we know which plan you are on.
Invoices already issued are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even if you delete your account. That is a legal obligation we cannot waive.
What is stored in your browser
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. The site saves four small values in your browser's local storage:
- your sign-in token, so you stay signed in;
- your chosen language;
- your visitor number, described above;
- a note that you have seen the storage notice, so it stops appearing.
All four are needed for the site to work. Clearing your browser data removes them; you will simply be signed out.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of companies to run the service:
- Google — sign-in.
- Stripe — payments.
- Anthropic — writes your interpretation from your question and cards.
- Cloudflare — serves the website itself.
- Railway — runs the application and the database.
Some of these are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep things
- Your account and readings — until you delete them.
- Visitor records and abuse records — up to 12 months.
- Invoices — for the period tax law requires.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the law gives you the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form.
You do not have to ask us to erase your data. Sign in, scroll to Your data, and delete it yourself. It is immediate: your account, your readings and your questions are removed, and any paid plan is cancelled at the same time. For anything else, write to contact@tarotlifepath.com.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live — the CNIL in France, the CNPD in Portugal.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly keep data about children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
